On Thursday, Secretary of Health Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar reviewed the preparation of Covid-19 and Uttarakhand Health Employment Generation Program through virtual medium with the Chief Medical Officers of all 13 districts in the state from his office located at the Secretariat.

In the review, the program to be held at the Chief Minister’s residence on December 23, 2022, was first reviewed with the Chief Medical Officers of all the districts. Through the programme, appointment letters are to be distributed by the Chief Minister Uttarakhand and Health Minister Uttarakhand to the newly appointed Community Health Officers. .

During this review, the Secretary of Health noted that at present an increase in the number of Kovid-19 patients has been recorded in many countries of the world, including Japan, the United States, Republic of Korea, Brazil, and China. The COVID-19 outbreak remains a worldwide public health challenge.

In the meeting, Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar told that there is a continuous change in the form of Kovid-19 virus and from time to time new variants are reflected as a public health problem, therefore monitoring the existing variants is critical

In the same sequence, according to the guidelines issued by the Government of India in June 2022 for early identification, isolation, testing and management of suspected and confirmed cases of Kovid-19, all the District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers in their respective districts are taking preventive measures related to the Covid-19 variant and preparing controls.

Along with this, it has also been appealed to the general public that there is no need to panic in any way and follow the guidelines given by the government from time to time. In the meeting, Additional Secretary Health Amandeep Kaur, Dr. Saroj Naithani Director, National Health Mission, Dr. Vinita Shah Director, Directorate General of Health, Dr. Shikha Jangpangi, Director General of Health, Dr. Manoj Upreti, Chief Medical Officer Dehradun, Dr. Ajay Kumar Nagarkar Officers/employees of Health Department including Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Dr. Tuheen were present.
