An awareness campaign is being run on the instructions of the government regarding plastic ban. In such a situation, the Municipal Corporation has made jute, glass and bamboo bottles to carry Ganga water to stop plastic in Dharmanagari Haridwar.
At the same time, mats of jute, cloth and raxene have been prepared to sit in the Ganga Ghats.
On Monday evening, Urban Development Minister Premchand Agarwal launched the initiative to make these bottles and mats available to the people at CCR.
Now devotees will be able to carry Ganga water in bottles made of jute, bamboo and glass.
