JioSaavn on Monday announced that it was introducing new podcast shows on its music streaming platform. The announcement comes at a time when the company is hosting podcast week on its platform.

JioSaavn is introducing four new podcast shows on its platform. The first show is called Holistic Lifestyle with Neha Ranglani. It is a mini-wellness audio show of five-minute episodes that blends fitness with fun to let listeners lead a healthier and happier life. The second show called Bas Yun Hi is a deep-dive into ever-growing human desires. It is hosted by Priyam Gaur and it will be available on the platform starting October 2.

The third show that the music-streaming company launched is called Short Mein Samjha Na. It simplifies GenZ language to help the youth keep up with the fast-paced world in a fun format. It is hosted by Aparna Upadhyay and it will be available starting September 30. Lastly, the company is introducing a show called Gunaah: Apradh ki Sachhi Kahaniyan, which is a thrilling, action-packed true-crime podcast replete with murder mysteries, serial killers and missing person cases. It will be available starting October 1.

Apart from launching new shows, JioSaavn is also hosting a two-day digital event that will cover several aspects of podcast creation and consumption in the Indian context. The first day, that is September 29, will feature MasterClass: Podcast 101, which is an essential guide to creating great content for podcasts with a Q&A for aspiring podcasters. This will be followed by a panel discussion themed ‘An Experiment No Longer: Indian Podcasting Here To Stay’ with Mae Thomas, Founder of Maed in India and the podcast of the same name, Lakshya Datta, Founder and CEO of Launchora and host of Tumne Kisi Se Kabhi Pyaar Kiya Hai? & Umeed Factory and Indu Shekhar Sinha – Head Of Business Development, Asia Pacific, BBC World Service.

The event will culminate with a fireside chat ‘Global Podcast Trends: Learnings for the Indian Market’, wherein Ishani Dasgupta, Lead of Podcast Partnerships at JioSaavn will speak with Joanna Aveillan, International Expansion Manager at Acast, an international podcast monetization and distribution platform.
