Voting is underway for the presidential election. In such a situation, voting has started in the assembly building Dehradun as well. Here 70 MLAs of the state will exercise their vote. In this, BJP has 47, Congress 19, BSP two and two independent MLAs. Voting can be done here from 10 am to 5 pm.
As soon as the voting started today, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached to cast his vote. After casting his vote, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the victory of Presidential candidate Draupathi Murmu is certain. Murmu has full support of all the MLAs of BJP and BSP as well as independent candidates of the state.
Apart from these, Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan also cast his vote. After this, cabinet ministers Ganesh Joshi, Satpal Maharaj, Dhan Singh Rawat, Bishan Singh Chufal voted. At the same time, BSP MLAs Mohammad Shahzad and Sarwat Karim Ansari also reached to cast their votes.
