An outbreak of fog is being seen on the plains these days. Because of which the operation of buses in the state was banned in the past. Please be informed that the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation has also issued instructions in this regard.
However, according to Transport Corporation General Manager Operations Deepak Jain, if there is dense fog at any place and there is difficulty in operating the bus, the bus will be immediately stopped at a safe place.
This will be immediately reported to the officers at the depot by the driver-operator. The bus will be allowed to drive out of the depot only after properly checking the lights, fog lights, halogen headlights, wipers, brakes, horn etc.
He has also instructed the Assistant General Managers of all the depots to ensure necessary safety measures in the buses in view of the fog.
