Police has got information regarding SDM Sadar Anil Chanyal of Champawat district, who has been missing for two days. District Magistrate Narendra Singh Bhandari said that talks have been held with the SDM. They are in Shimla.
He says that due to ill health, he had gone for treatment accidentally. In the case, the investigating officer Kotwal Yogesh Upadhyay said that the location of the SDM was traced in the morning. Due to which his location was found in Shimla. After this, an attempt was made to contact him.
Let us tell you that the news of the disappearance of Champawat SDM Sadar Anil Chanyal had stirred the local administrative staff to the government level. Three teams of the police administration were engaged for his search since the missing was registered.
SDM Chanyal was present in the program of Pant Jayanti on 10 September but there was no information about him since the afternoon of the same day. Offices were also closed on September 10 as the second Saturday and Sunday of the month were holidays.
So it was not even clear when and where they went from here. Chanyal has been posted in Champawat since September 2021. Five years ago also he had held the same post in Tanakpur and Pati.
