Kanwar Yatra 2022 has started in Uttarakhand from July 14. In view of this, a large number of Kanwariyas are expected to reach Dev Nagari Uttarakhand.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami says that this time 5 to 6 crore Kanwariyas can reach the state. In view of the number of Kanwariyas, the Uttarakhand administration has made its preparations. In order to maintain peace and harmony during the journey, Uttarakhand Police has imposed guidelines and some restrictions for the Kanwariyas.
During the journey in Uttarakhand, Kanwariyas will not be able to carry tridents, swords and other harmful devices with them. The policemen posted at the outposts of the districts have been instructed to confiscate such religious symbols and objects which are likely to cause damage.
Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police Janmejay Khanduri said that there will be a ban on carrying swords, tridents and sticks during the Kanwar Yatra. Policemen posted at all police stations and outposts of the districts have been instructed to seize such items.
