In view of the Kavad Yatra in Haridwar, Anganwadi centers including all government and private schools here are being closed for seven days from July 20. In view of this, private schools have started online education but there is no preparation for government schools.
All schools and Anganwadi centers will remain closed from July 20 to 26, as per the orders of District Magistrate Vinay Shankar Pandey, in view of the Kanwar Mela being in full swing, maintaining peace and security of the students.

Apart from this, meat-fish and egg shops on the Kanwar Yatra route will remain closed till July 26. The front of the liquor shops falling on the route will be covered with tinshed or tarpaulin. However, the sale of liquor is not prohibited. The DM has issued instructions to the police to strictly implement the order.
