In Uttarakhand, more than three hundred temples, mosques, mazars and gurudwaras built by encroachment can be bulldozed at any time. The Uttarakhand Forest Department has made a lot of preparations regarding this.

However, these do not include data for the Park and Century area. Principal Secretary Forest RK Sudhanshu has again sent a letter to the Forest Department asking for a detailed report within a week.

These orders have been sent from the forest headquarters to all the park and century administrations as well as to the forest division. Forest Chief Vinod Singhal said that the officers had been asked to provide all documentation related to the construction of religious places.

Let us tell you that there are many temples in Uttarakhand which have been running for generations even before the implementation of the Forest Act. But, in recent years, the number of shrines along with temples in the forest area has also increased rapidly. After the survey report is published, all such religious places can be removed.
