In the Jagran Excellence Award 2022 program organized on the occasion of completion of 25 years of Dainik Jagran at a local hotel located on Rajpur Road on Tuesday, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami honored the people who made commendable contribution in the fields of health, education, industry, social service etc.
The CM said that the people to be honored are not like individuals in the interest of the society but like an institution. He described this type of event as giving direction to the society as well as acquainting it with rites and culture.
CM said that after 3 years, when Uttarakhand completes the journey of 25 years, then our state should be included in the leading states of the country, everyone will participate in it. The journey of development of Uttarakhand belongs to all of us, the role of all of us also increases in this direction.
The CM said that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, a new work culture and work behavior has come in the country. We are also improving the work culture in Uttarakhand. The state government is working with transparency and with a choiceless resolution.
CM said that we are busy fulfilling our every promise. Our government has constituted a committee to prepare a draft ‘Uniform Civil Code’ for the state of Uttarakhand, which will submit its report soon. The scope of this Uniform Civil Code will be equal law for all citizens, irrespective of religion they believe in.
The CM said that during the tenure of PM Modi for eight years, various projects worth more than Rs.1.25 lakh crore have been approved for the state. Work on many of these schemes has been completed or is in progress.
The reconstruction of Shri Kedarpuri is the best example of the vision, leadership and determination of the respected PM. Work is also being done on the master plan of Badrinath Dham. Work on the 125 km long Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project worth Rs 16,216 crore is going on in full swing. The target is to complete the project by 2024-25. After the construction of Dehradun Delhi Elevated Road, this distance will be covered in 02 hours.
The CM said that in the last two years, under the leadership of PM, we have fought the corona epidemic firmly, while we have also taken forward the pace of development. The CM said that it is the result of the efficient leadership of the PM that even at the time of Corona, when the economy of most of the countries of the world collapsed, the entire countrymen together under the leadership of the PM have won the epidemic.
For the first time after independence, free treatment up to five lakh rupees was being given to every person through Ayushman Yojana. Today, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India is also making its mark in exports. Got an opportunity to join Skill India Startup India. It is our goal to reach the benefits of development schemes to the last person standing in the last row of the society.
CM said that due to better Chardham road, the number of passengers coming here has increased. So far 34 lakh people have come on the journey. Kanwar Yatra is also about to start. In that too crores of people will come here. He said that the travelers coming here can also become partners in plantation. This will be their contribution towards environmental protection.
