Violent demonstrations are taking place across the state against the Agneepath Recruitment Scheme. In such a situation, there is a lot of ruckus in Haldwani of Uttarakhand.
The youth opposing the Agneepath scheme had blocked the Tikonia intersection. After which the police have registered a case against 400 of these youths. Many serious cases have been registered against the youth, including obstruction of government work, damage to property, highway jam and rebellion.
The protesters had blocked the road so much that even an ambulance could not find a way to move forward. Not only this, the mob started damaging government vehicles and government pots standing on the road. Many passersby were molested. There was a scuffle with the police, administrative officers and employees.
SSP Pankaj Bhatt said that a case has been registered against 400 unknown youths under sections 147, 149, 332, 342, 353, 427, 504 IPC and 7 Criminal Law (Amendment) Act.
