The Bhopalpani bridge on the Dehradun-Thano link road collapsed on Thursday morning. I would like to inform you that this bridge is already damaged. Today another part of it fell down.

As a result, both sides stopped their movements. There was no loss of life in this accident. Amid the controversy over the Bhopalpani bridge collapse on the Dehradun-Thano link road, the Chief Engineer (National Highway) had completed the investigation and submitted the report to the Chief Engineer.

Tell me that in the report submitted by Chief Engineer Pramod Kumar, it was said that at present there is no danger of any kind to the bridge. In the investigation of technical experts, the walls of the bridge were determined to be absolutely safe. After the cave-in area has been repaired, Pramod Kumar said that traffic will soon be restored on the bridge.

Along with this, the Chief Engineer said that there was no need to build the bridge afresh or do any additional construction. Instead, he suggested demolishing the walls of the bridge. The way in which heavy trucks loaded with sand and gravel are passing through the bridge day and night, this type of subsidence is a normal process in those circumstances. The flaws will be removed soon.

Although the Chief Engineer inspected the site, the company requested a detailed report in this regard from the Chief Engineer. In 2018, the bridge built at a cost of eight crores at Bhopalpani on the motorway connecting Jollygrant Airport had developed cracks even before its inauguration.
