Today Teacher’s Day is being celebrated across the country. Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year on 5th of September on the occasion of birth anniversary of former President of the country, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. On this day all the teachers of the country who have made significant contribution in the field of education are honored.
President Draupadi Murmu honored 46 teachers of the country with the National Award at Vigyan Bhawan today. Whereas Pradeep Negi of Haridwar from Uttarakhand and Kaustubh Joshi from Kumaon were selected. Who was honored with the National Teacher Award by President Draupadi Murmu on the occasion of Teacher’s Day today.
Joshi is the principal of SDS Government Inter College located at Pratappur-Chakalua in Nainital. While Pradeep Negi is working as a spokesperson in BHEL Inter College, Haridwar. Both the teachers have also won ICT awards in the past.
