Following the directives of the state government, the district administration has duly issued a night curfew order. The curfew will remain in effect from 10 am to 5 am. During this period, no commercial establishments will be open and the operation of the vehicles running normally will also be closed. Only medical establishments and petrol/diesel pumps will be allowed to open. The area of the night curfew has been included in the Dehradun Municipal Corporation. At the same time, the area of Garhi Cantt Board and Clemenstown will also be under the ban.
According to the order of District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Srivastava, during the night curfew, the business establishments will remain closed, but the movement of their vehicles will be allowed. So that it can do loading-unloading of goods. This will include vehicles related to fruits and vegetables, milk, petrol/diesel, gas supply, medical services. Apart from this, people who are coming from other states by airplane, train, or bus will also be exempted from the curfew. The operation of private vehicles will also be exempted when traveling from other states. Only the concerned passengers will have to keep details of the ticket/toll slip etc. related to the journey.
Marriage ceremony will be possible, but you will have to provide proof
The wedding ceremony has also been relaxed from the night curfew. The bride-groom side will have to provide proof of booking the venue etc. At the same time, those who attend the ceremony will also be allowed to visit. However, they have to show the marriage card as proof. This permission for traffic will also remain for the marriage venue from home.
Workers of industrial establishments should carry I cards
Many industrial activities also operate at night. Therefore, the personnel related to them will also be able to go on duty during the night curfew. Only they have to carry the Ecards received from the concerned unit/establishment. The benefit of discount will be only for commuting from home to establishment. Strict action will be taken if found elsewhere on the route.
Public interest construction will continue
According to the order of the District Magistrate, the construction work related to the public interest will continue during the night curfew. Workers/contractors/personnel associated with construction will also be allowed to travel.
Sanitization will be done till 11 am on Sunday
For the prevention of corona infection, the District Magistrate has instructed us to carry out a large sanitation campaign every Sunday till 11 o’clock in the day. The District Magistrate has directed strict action on a violation of any kind of rules.
