The tragic incident in Udham Singh Nagar in Uttarakhand has created a furor in the entire village. On Sunday, January 9, 2020, a wild elephant killed a farmer by beating him. After the incident, the villagers have been angry about not providing facilities from the Forest Department. According to the information, the incident is being reported around 10 pm. After working in the field, the wild elephant attacked the farmer who went to sleep there. The elephant picked him up in the trunk and slammed it so badly that he sent the farmer and came out of his eyes.

It is also being said that farmers live in an enclosure near the field in the Gulbarbhoj area. When there was a stir in the field at night, a farmer went to see there with a flashlight. Just then, other people created a shock after seeing the elephant there. This address is said in the reports, till the farmer Nandlal (56) understood something, the elephant picked him up in the trunk and banged it several times on the ground. Due to this, he died on the spot. People reported this to the forest department. After this, the team reached there and filled the deadpan.

According to the sources, people alleged that the forest department is not giving the facility of fencing on the border of the farmers here. Due to which accidents are increasing. On the other hand, Ranger Bhupendra Kumar Mehra says that if villagers want to put up fencing there, they can put it. They will be allowed. Even before this, there have been two incidents of killing elephants in this area in the past year. On 20 January 2019, the elephant killed a watchman Roshanlal. In the same month, in January itself, a Buggy Gurjar was also beaten to death by an elephant.
