When PUBG Mobile was banned last year in India, it left many fans searching for alternatives. Soon enough nCore Games, owned by CEO of Goqii, Vishal Gondal, soon came up with FAU-G. While many people thought it to be a promising game focusing on the Indian army, several others assumed it to be a mere rip-off of PUBG Mobile. The title, which was expected to launch in October, got pushed back.

However, the developer opened the pre-registration page on November 30. It was even announced that within three days, the game managed to cross 1 million pre-registrations on Google Play Store. However, the developer still did not reveal the release date at that time.

But in the latest tweet by nCore Games, the release date has finally been mentioned as 26th January. The same tweet also showcases the video trailer of FAUG, giving us some idea of what to expect from the game. “What will you do when they come? We will hold our ground & fight back, because we are Fearless. United. Unstoppable FAU:G! Witness the anthem FAU:G!” tweeted the developer.

In the 1:30 second video, we see the Indian Armed Forces battling against the insurgents. It is not for sure if this is the actual gameplay or just a trailer.

It is worth mentioning that while PUBG Mobile is a battle royale game, FAUG is not. The latter will feature the recent Galvan Valley clash as one of the scenarios, which means a player will be taking on insurgents. Gondal has said that they might include the battle royale mode in the future.

FAU-G, according to Gondal is going to be played in the third-person perspective. In case you don’t know, PUBG Mobile also has a third person perspective as one of the modes. Alternatively, FAU-G is also going to have the first person perspective as a mode.
