Microsoft will reportedly launch a new Surface Laptop with 12.5-inch display later today.

According to Winfuture, Microsoft’s new laptop will be priced much lower than recent Surface laptops. The 12.5-inch Surface Laptop is rumoured to cost $750, which is 55,000 approximately. While the leaked pricing is for the version with Windows 10 Pro, models with Windows 10 Home are likely to cost even lesser.

The 12.5-inch Surface Laptop, also dubbed as the Surface Laptop Go, will come with 3:2 screen. It will run on Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor coupled with 4/8GB of RAM, and 128/256GB of memory. It is also said to come with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and a fingerprint reader embedded in the power button. It will also support Windows Hello for more secure log-in. The battery backup is said to be around 13 hours.

That said, Microsoft’s Surface lineup has mostly focused on the premium tiers with exceptions such as Surface Go.

In terms of specifications, Surface Go features a 10-inch display. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM, up to 128GB storage, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 8-megapixel rear camera, and Intel Pentium Gold Processor 4415Y.

Surface Laptop 3, the most recent premium laptop in this series, comes in 13.5-inch and 15-inch display options. The laptop is available in 8GB or 16GB LPDDR4x RAM options. The 13.5-inch model sports quad-core 10th gen Intel Core i5-1035G7 and 1065G7 processor options. The 15-inch model comes in AMD Ryzen 5 3580U and 7 3780U processor options. The Surface Laptop 3 is available in India for a starting price of 1 lakh approximately.
