The year 2020 is coming to an end. Ahead of the year-end, Google is inviting its users to vote for their favourite apps, movies, games and books on the Play Store.

Users’ choice voting on the Play Store, as per a report by 9To5 Google begins today and it will go on until November 23. As goes the tradition, Google will announce the list of users’ favourites in all four categories as a part of its ‘Best of 2020’ picks on December 1.

This list will be customised based on the country. This means, the options and the winner under each category will be different for people based on their region.

The report notes that Google has started showing a banner that leads to the voting page in the US wherein users can vote for Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & More, Disney+, VITA, Reface (Doublicat), The Pattern, Centr, by Chris Hemsworth, Speekoo, Dolby On: Record Audio & Music, Whisk: Turn Recipes into Shareable Shopping Lists or Vimeo Create – Video Maker & Editor as their favourite app.

In the games category, users can pick from EverMerge, Cell to Singularity – Evolution Never Ends, Grand Hotel Mania, Disney Sorcerer’s Arena, Genshin Impact, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, Legends of Runeterra, SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off, Arknights or Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells.

Similarly, users can vote for Harrow the Ninth, Midnight Sun, Wow, No Thank You, Untamed, The Vanishing Half, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Mexican Gothic, Me & White Supremacy, Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art and If It Bleeds in the books category. They can vote for Bad Boys for Life, Bill & Ted Face the Music, Birds Of Prey And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, Bloodshot, Frozen II, Just Mercy, Knives Out, Parasite, The Invisible Man or Trolls World Tour in the movies category.

Notably, these options are available on Google Play Store for users based in the US. Google hasn’t started showing options for users in India yet. We’ll keep you posted as to when the voting in India will begin.
