Shahid Afridi said, we talk about improving the national team but, we should do the real work at the grass root level because things will move ahead from there. If Pakistan cricket is to be strengthened, then the focus has to be on the junior level. Afridi said, if I get a chance to work with the Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19 teams, I will be happy.

PCB’s newly appointed chairman Najam Sethi reached Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 22 December. Talking to the media, he said that the Rameez Raja-led board should not have announced the Pakistan team for the Test series against New Zealand. We are looking into this matter. Fast bowler Hasan Ali has been included in the team captained by Babar Azam. Uncapped batsman Kamran Ghulam has been given a place in the middle order.
