Delhi’s Rohini Court has framed charges against two-time Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar and 17 others in connection with the murder of wrestler Sagar Dhankhar. All these people will be tried for murder, conspiracy to murder, rioting, illegal assembly.

Apart from this, the police have also framed charges against the two absconding accused. After three weeks of investigation, Sushil Kumar and other accused were arrested from Mundka in Delhi.

According to the police, the 37-year-old wrestler along with his teammates thrashed 23-year-old Sagar Dhankhar and his two friends at Chhatrasal Stadium on May 4. After this, Sagar and his friends were admitted to the hospital where Sagar died due to serious injuries during treatment.

Delhi Police said in its report, Sushil Kumar is the master mind of the murder incident, he conspired with other accused. The co-accused of the murder provided weapons. Criminals from Haryana and Delhi were also involved in this murder conspiracy. Sagar and his associates were abducted from different areas and after that the incident was carried out.

On May 18 last year, Sushil Kumar had filed an anticipatory bail plea in Delhi’s Rohini Court to avoid arrest. He argued that the investigation of the case is being done in a biased manner. The court rejected his plea, rejecting his plea.
