A banner prohibiting the entry of non-Hindus has been put up outside a temple in Ghanta Ghar area of Uttarakhand’s Dehradun.

“This premise is a holy place of Hindus. Entry of non-Hindus impermissible here,” the banner reads.

Similar posters have also been put up in several other temples across the state, as per reports.

Temple authorities have denied knowing anything about it, news agency ANI reported.

The banner, put up by fringe outfit Hindu Yuva Vahini, has been removed and a case has been registered under Section 153A against the person whose contact number was on the banner, said police.

This comes a week after a Muslim boy was beaten up mercilessly for drinking water at a temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. ( ANI)
