Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has invited online applications from male candidates for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch) and Yantrik (Domestic Branch) with effect from 08 September 2022. Candidates can apply for 01/2023 batch at joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. ICG will conduct an online selection of candidates known as Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (CGEPT) which will be conducted between or end of November 2022 followed by Stage 2 and Stage 3 examination. The age limit of the candidates for recruitment to these posts has been kept at least 18 years and maximum 22 years. Through this recruitment process, 225 posts of Navik (GD), 40 posts of Navik (Domestic Branch), 16 posts of Yantrik (Mechanical), 10 posts of Yantrik (Electrical) and 09 posts of Yantrik (Electronics) are to be filled.
Salary-:
Talking about the salary, sailor general duty will get Rs 21700 per month, sailor (domestic branch) will get Rs 21700 per month and mechanical will get Rs 29200 per month. To apply for these posts, an application fee of Rs 250 has to be paid. Whereas SC and ST candidates do not have to pay any application fee.
Educational qualification-:
Navik (General Duty) – 10+2 pass with Maths and Physics from a Board of Education recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
Navik (Domestic Branch) – Class 10th pass from a Board of Education recognized by the Board of School Education (COBSE).
Mechanical- Class 10th pass from a Board of Education recognized by the Board of School Education (COBSE) and 03 or 04 years Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Telecommunication (Radio / Power) Engineering approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) . ) or Class 10th and Class 12th pass from a Board of Education recognized by the Board of School Education (COBSE) and “Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Telecommunication (Radio / Power) Engineering for a period of 02 or 03 years All Approved by Indian Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
Candidates have to register themselves on joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in using their e-mail ID/mobile number. Candidate can apply for only one post i.e. either Navik (DB) or Navik (GD) or Mechanical (Mechanical) or Mechanical (Electrical) or Mechanical (Electronics) in one cycle.
