Today from July 1, the central government has taken a big decision keeping in mind the environment and cleanliness. Today announced to ban single use plastic across the country. Single-use plastic means things made of plastic, which are used only once.

In view of this, FMCG and agro-food companies selling packaged fruit juices and dairy products have started using paper straws.

Manufacturing or selling a banned product will attract a jail term of 7 years and a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh. First of all, there are those plastic straws that are seen in every juice or coconut water shop.

Any beverage that uses plastic straws for drinking will be banned from July 1. There are about 19 such items of single use plastic across the country which are being banned by the central government.

There will be a complete ban on the use of these items and if anyone is found using them then legal action will be taken against them.

Items made from single-use plastics include items that can be discarded once, including plastic straws, earbuds, plastic sticks used in balloons, thermocol used in decorations, ice cream sticks, candy sticks, plastic sticks, etc.

Such as cups, plastic flags, plastic knives, trays, plastic sweet boxes, plastic sheets used on wedding cards, plastic sheets used on sweet boxes, plastic foil on cigarette packets, etc. There are about 19 items which are being banned from July 1.
