Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal has tested positive for COVID-19. Following the development, the Delhi CM has gone into isolation as a precautionary measure.

The CM is likely to be tested for the disease today.

As regards the CM’s wife, she has isolated herself at home for the time being.

Earlier in the day, CM Kejriwal had appealed to the people of the city to stay at home amidst the six-day lockdown that is being enforced in Delhi starting today.

The lockdown was announced yesterday amid the spiralling COVID-19 cases in the national capital. It started at 10 pm yesterday and will continue till 5 am on April 26.

Delhi has now started to register around 25,000 COVID-19 cases Delhi, with 1 in 3 people being tested for the disease returning positive results.
