Indian billionaire and famous stock market investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed airline Akasa Air has got great news. Actually, the company has got the Air Operator Certificate from the Aviation Regulator (DGCA). DGCA said that after getting the license, now Akasa Air can start airline flight service.

The commercial flights of the airline will start this month. Akasa Air Air said that it has got the AOC after meeting all the regulatory and compliance requirements in terms of operational preparedness of the airline.

Akasa Air has received the delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft on 21 June. Akash Air said that under this it is the first airline whose entire AOC process was completed through the government’s progressive EGCA digital platform.

Akasa Air said it would start its commercial operation with two planes. Every month it will add new aircraft to its fleet.

Recently Akasa has launched its uniform for its crew members. Akasa posted the crew member’s new dress code on its Twitter handle. Along with the photo, the airline wrote that comfortable, eco-friendly and fun.
