Muthuvelayudha Perumal Appavu, the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Speaker, participated in a victory ceremony in Tirunelveli Government Medical College Hospital for breast cancer survivors on the occasion of Cancer Day on Friday.
Many women who have recovered from breast cancer participated in the event.
Tamil Nadu assembly speaker attended the function as a special guest.
Speaking at the function, he said, “Tamil Nadu is excelling in educational development; women are also excelling in education and in higher education too. Women are gaining more success in the medical field today, he mentioned that the health infrastructure of Tamil Nadu is very strong.”

Speaking further, the Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly said, “Central National Council of Doctors has taken various policy decisions based on which Tamil Nadu will not allow medical colleges based on population, and the Central Government is acting on narrow-mindedness.”
He mentioned that there is a situation where one has to spend several lakhs of rupees for the NEET exam and come for such a medical course, and lives are lost due to the NEET exam. Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly
Speaker Appavu said, “Tamil Nadu has a good educational policy of balanced matriculation education, and the central government has brought a new education policy called the NEET examination to disrupt the good education structure of Tamil Nadu.”
He also spoke about irregularities in civil service examination conducted by the Central Staff Selection Commission.
“There are various irregularities in the civil service examination conducted by the Central Staff Selection Commission, and if those irregularities are removed, more people from Tamil Nadu will get first place in the civil service examination,” he said. (ANI)
