The Congress on Friday demanded an FIR to be registered against Union minister Gajendra Shekhawat after reiterating that there was a ploy to topple the party’s government in Rajasthan.

Addressing a press conference, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala red the transcript of a phone conversation where, according to him, the plan was hatched to topple the Ashok Gehlot government.

He also said that Congress MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma has been suspended from the primary membership of Congress pending inquiry on these tapes.

He also said that another Congress MLA and former minister Vishvendra Singh has also been spended from the primary membership of the party.
