The 6th Apex Committee Review Meeting (ACRM) on coastal defence arrangements for Andhra Pradesh was convened at Eastern Naval Command Headquarters here on Wednesday, officials said in a statement.
The 6th ACRM was co-chaired by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, AVSM, VSM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command & C-in-C (Coastal Defence, East), and Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, IAS, Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

According to officials, the meeting was attended by all maritime stakeholders.
During the meeting, an update of the present status, the way ahead, along with the means to enhance the Coastal Defence construct for the State, were discussed and deliberated.
Upon the completion of the ACRM, the Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy visited the Joint Operations Centre at ENC where he was briefed on how the Indian Navy, along with other maritime stakeholders, jointly monitors all activities at sea that impinge on coastal security, officials said. (ANI)
