On National Unity Day, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami extended his best wishes to the people of the state. He said that independence for India is the dream of the Navnirman of India as per the dreams of Sardar Patel. His contribution to protecting the unity and integrity of the country will always be remembered. On his birth anniversary, a resolution will have to be taken to dedicate himself to Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

On the occasion of National Unity Day at Champawat Banbasa Mini Stadium on Monday, along with flagging off the unity run, CM Dhami also participated in the race. On the other hand, Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan congratulated the people of the state on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

He said that Sardar Patel was popularly known as Iron Man in the country and abroad because of his strong determination. After independence, he played a historical role in the inclusion of more than 550 princely states in the Union of India. His contribution towards national integration will always be remembered.

Earlier on Sunday, a marathon was organized in Dehradun to commemorate the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. In which about 15,000 athletes from across the country and abroad took part.

During this, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Sardar Patel played an influential role in nationaintegration. Now, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the country is progressing ahead with the resolve of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

CM Dhami said that a target has been set to achieve the state drug-free by 2025. Everyone must make a firm commitment to this. Along with this, everyone else will also have to be made aware of drug addiction.
