Sachin Tendulkar tests positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms quarantines himself at home.

While it was believed that India was battling hard versus the COVID-19 pandemic with the cases being limited and recoveries being higher, the second wave of the novel coronavirus is now challenging the citizens with a rapid spike in cases. Maharashtra remains one of the worst-affected states with plenty of positive cases, including that of Sachin Tendulkar.

Tendulkar, who is easily regarded as one of the most complete batsmen to have played the gentlemen’s game, shared the news on social media via his official Twitter handle on Saturday morning (March 27).

He wrote, “I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay.  However, I’ve tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative.

I’ve quarantined myself at home and am following all protocols as advised by my doctors. I want to thank all the healthcare professionals who are supporting me and many others across the country

Take care all of you.”
