The Indian Army felicitated 13 students trained under the Red Shield Centre of Wellness and Excellence, popularly known as the Manipur Super 50, who successfully cleared the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2024.

The event, held in Manipur’s Bishnupur District, was graced by senior army officers, Rohit Shrivastava, Director NEIDO and the parents of the candidates.

The ceremony began with the Indian Army acknowledging the tireless efforts of the students, their dedicated teachers, and supportive parents.

GOC, Red Shield Division, felicitated the 13 students hailing from Manipur, who were part of a group of 35 students from the 2023-2024 NEET batch selected from various districts of Manipur last year. These students underwent rigorous training and preparation at the Manipur Super 50 classes from June 2023 to April 2024.

Remarkably, 13 students cleared the 2024 NEET exam on their first attempt, achieving a success rate of 37%.

The Red Shield Centre of Wellness and Excellence, or Manipur Super 50, is a collaborative initiative between the Indian Army, the SBI Foundation, and the National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO).

This project aims to provide free residential coaching to deserving students from underprivileged backgrounds in Manipur. The Indian Army’s contributions include providing accommodation, setting up the project and offering ongoing oversight to ensure the holistic development of the students. The SBI Foundation, acting as the CSR partner, has provided substantial financial support, while NIEDO has played a crucial role in mentoring and educating the students, ensuring not only academic excellence but also psychological well-being.

The felicitation ceremony highlighted the Indian Army’s commitment to empowering and motivating the local youth. The Indian Army remains steadfast in its efforts to engage and uplift the youth of Manipur, reinforcing its dedication to nation-building. (ANI)
