Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has intensified efforts to secure a strong mandate for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s potential third term with the slogan ‘Abki Baar 400 Paar, 80 Banega Iska Adhaar.’ The CM has played a pivotal role in rallying support and campaigning vigorously across the state.
Yogi Adityanath has extensively campaigned to garner voter support for PM Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and 12 other Central Ministers from Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, he has backed four state ministers in their pursuit of parliamentary seats, aiming to facilitate their transition to the national stage.
The CM’s campaign efforts included rallies, roadshows, and public meetings, targeting support for Rajya Sabha MPs, eight BJP and allied MLAs, and three Legislative Council members.
Notably, eight MLAs from Uttar Pradesh are contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) banner.
Among the prominent candidates, Yogi government minister and Mainpuri MLA Jaiveer Singh is contesting from Mainpuri, while Khair MLA Anoop Pradhan Valmiki is vying for the Hathras seat. Other key candidates include Phulpur MLA Praveen Patel (Phulpur Lok Sabha), Ghaziabad MLA Atul Garg (Ghaziabad Lok Sabha), Nishad Party’s MLA Vinod Kumar Bind (Bhadohi Lok Sabha), Nehtaur MLA Om Kumar (Nagina Lok Sabha), Meerapur MLA Chandan Chauhan (RLD) from Bijnor, and Chanbe MLA Rinki Kol (Apna Dal S) from Robertsganj.

Four ministers from the Yogi government are also in the fray for the Lok Sabha elections: Jitin Prasad (Pilibhit), Jaiveer Singh (Mainpuri), Anoop Pradhan (Hathras), and Dinesh Pratap Singh (Rae Bareli). Notably, Jaiveer Singh and Anoop Pradhan are currently members of the Legislative Assembly, while Dinesh Pratap Singh and Jitin Prasad serve in the Legislative Council.
The BJP has also fielded Member of Legislative Council Saket Mishra from Shravasti and Rajya Sabha MP Neeraj Shekhar from Ballia. Voting in Ballia is scheduled for the seventh phase of the elections.
The BJP has positioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow. Yogi Adityanath has actively organised rallies, conferences, and public meetings to bolster support for these leaders.
Other Central Ministers contesting from Uttar Pradesh include Smriti Irani (Amethi), Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma (Jalaun), Professor SP Singh Baghel (Agra), Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary (Maharajganj), Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey (Chandauli), Anupriya Patel (Mirzapur), Sanjeev Baliyan (Muzaffarnagar), Ajay Mishra Teni (Lakhimpur Kheri), Kaushal Kishore (Mohanlalganj), and Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti (Fatehpur).
