Tata Motors will reportedly unveil the Nexon electric vehicle in India on December 19. However, before the automobile manufacturer officially showcases the Nexon EV, it has been spied testing in Pune.

We are well aware of the fact that Tata Nexon electric vehicle will be launched in the country in the fourth quarter of the Financial Year 2019-20. We are expecting the Nexon EV to be priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 17 lakh.

Now, the new spy image of the Nexon EV has been posted on Twitter by one Girish Naik. It becomes ample clear from the picture that the upcoming electric vehicle from the house of Tata Motors will be more or less similar to the internal combustion engine-powered Nexon.

The noteworthy point here is that Tata Nexon electric vehicle will be powered by the automobile manufacturer’s new powertrain technology — Ziptron. The upcoming Nexon EV will be equipped with a high voltage system and fast charging capability.

Tata Nexon EV range will be close to 300 km in a single charge. It will also make use of regenerative braking to charge the battery while on the drive. The Nexon electric will come with an eight-year warranty on battery and motor. It will also be IP67 (dust and waterproof) standard-compliant.

Tata Nexon EV will be the automobile manufacturer’s second electric offering after Tata Tigor EV. It will also be one of the four electric vehicles that Tata Motors will launch in India over the next 12 to 18 months.
