Samsung has partnered with Servify to launch the Samsung Care+ service in India. The newly launched service offers a range of benefits to customers for safeguarding their Galaxy smartphones against any accidental, physical and liquid damage. In addition to this, the service also safeguards the Samsung smartphones against technical or mechanical failures.
The service was launched as a pilot program in India back in March this year. Samsung says that more than 100,000 customers have enrolled for the service between March and June despite the lockdown that was imposed to tackle the spread of Covid-19 outbreak.
Coming back to the Samsung Care+ service, it offers a total of four plans to the Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners. While the Extended Warranty plan covers technical and mechanical failures for one year beyond the warranty period, the Screen Protection plan covers front screen damage for one year from the plan purchase date. The Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage (ADLD) plan covers accidental front and back screen damage and liquid damage for one year and the Comprehensive Protection plan covers accidental physical and liquid damage (including screen) and technical or mechanical failure for a span of two years.
Samsung says that Care+ packs are auto activated on purchase and come with a hassle-free claim process that requires zero documentation. Claims are approved within one business hour and consumers can get free pick up and drop facility for their Galaxy smartphone in select geographies. Consumers can also check their claim/repair status of their Galaxy smartphones on-the-go with a simple tracking mechanism.
As far as the price of the service is concerned, Samsung Care+ packs depend on the Samsung smartphone the customer is looking to purchase. Customers can buy Samsung Care+ packs with their new Samsung smartphone or within 30 days of purchase at Samsung Experience Stores, Smart Cafes, select Multi Brand Outlets, Samsung.com Samsung Care+ Online store and the My Galaxy App. Customers can also opt for easy financing options using Samsung Finance+.
