Jai Uttarakhand. Salute to the valor, courage, and might of the soil of this state. Today is a day of pride for Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. After long struggles to make Devbhoomi a separate state, it finally came into existence. Today is November 9th. Exactly 21 years ago this state got independence. Uttarakhand is celebrating 21 years of its establishment with pomp.

Every citizen of Devbhoomi is drenched in the celebration of freedom. Let us tell you that after many years of agitation for the demand of separate Uttarakhand, finally on 9 November 2000, Uttarakhand was included in the Republic of India as the 27th state. Uttarakhand was created by joining several districts of North West of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, some part of the Himalayan Mountain Range was also added to make up the formation of Uttarakhand. From the year 2000 to 2006 it was known as Uttaranchal, but in January 2007, due to the sentiments of the local people.

Uttarakhand, which is a part of Uttar Pradesh, is bordered by Tibet in the north and Nepal in the east. Himachal Pradesh in the west and Uttar Pradesh in the south are the states bordering it. In Hindi and Sanskrit, Uttarakhand means northern region or part. Uttarakhand is also known as Dev Bhoomi because along with many ancient religious places, this state is the origin of the country’s largest rivers Ganga and Yamuna, considered the most sacred in Hinduism. Dhami government celebrated the state’s foundation day with Uttarakhand Mahotsav.

State Foundation Day is being celebrated as Uttarakhand Mahotsav. During this festival to be held for a week, programs will be organized from capital Dehradun to Nyaya Panchayat level. The event will run till November 15. Not only this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also announced the introduction of Gaurav Puraskar this year. Regarding the foundation day, there will be a special program on Police Line Foundation Day in the capital Dehradun, there will be Hrithik Parade and cultural programs.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Governor Gurmeet Singh will be involved in this program. At the same time, programs are being organized on behalf of the Culture Department at the Kachari Martyrs Memorial. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has greeted the people of the state on the state foundation day.
