Rudrabhishek was performed by President Droupadi Murmu at Raj Prajneshwar Mahadev Temple at Raj Bhavan in the morning on Friday, the second day of his stay in Uttarakhand. Along with this, he also inaugurated the Nakshatra Vatika located at Raj Bhavan. During this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) and First Lady Gurmeet Kaur were present.

On the other hand, preparations for the third convocation ceremony at Doon University have been completed. President Draupadi Murmu will confer degrees on 669 students at the university today. Along with this, medals will also be given to meritorious students. The live telecast of the program will be done with the help of students and teachers of the School of Media and Communication.

With this, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Surekha Dangwal announced that the function organized on the theme of Rising Nari Shakti will start at 2 pm today. A link will be made available on the university website for a live telecast of the programme. During the ceremony, the President will confer degrees on 653 graduates and 16 PhD students of the 2021 batch.

However, the administration has completed all preparations regarding the visit of President Draupadi Murmu to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie today. Security agencies including the police have made elaborate security arrangements at the Academy. The President is reaching Mussoorie to address the Officer Trainees of the 97th Foundation Course of LBS Academy. The President will arrive at LBS Academy’s helipad around 9 am.
