On Wednesday, Commissioner Kumaon Mandal Deepak Rawat did a surprise inspection of the District Level Development Authority, office. During the inspection, expressing displeasure over getting the work of various letters, note sheets done in the office from the retired personnel from the year 2020 said that this is ending the secrecy of government works.
On this, the commissioner asked the secretary and the joint secretary to clarify on what basis such an act is being done. He wanted information that the salary of 10 to 20 thousand is being given to the engineers appointed in the authority, from what item this salary is being given. He said that it is not proper to make note sheets from retired personnel, whose photocopy should be kept separately.
Rawat said that the negligence of the officers of the Authority in maintaining the secrecy of the works is visible, in this regard the Secretary and the Joint Secretary should clarify why disciplinary action should not be initiated against you.
During this, the commissioner has directed all the sub-divisional magistrates, tehsildars and naib tehsildars to inspect their respective tehsils and submit the inspection report.
