Uttarakhand’s Education Minister, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, has made a major announcement. In all educational institutions of the state, Bharat Scouts and Guides units will now be compulsory, said Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat.

The program will also be implemented in private educational institutions, Sanskrit schools, and madrasas. In addition, Rover Ranger units will be established in colleges and universities. Bharat Scouts and Guides Uttarakhand, however, held their first review meeting at the Directorate General of Education under the direction of the Education Minister.

Moreover, he said that the Scouts, Guides, and Rover Rangers will be connected to de-addiction, TB eradication, Namami Gange, and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The only purpose of bringing this scheme to school level children and universities is the physical and intellectual development of children.

With all these activities, there will be improvement in the daily routine of children and youth as well as in their lifestyle. To take this scheme forward, the vacant posts of District Scout Master will be posted soon in all the districts.

So that the work can be started as soon as possible. However, Secretary of Scouts and Guides Uttarakhand, RM Kala told that informed about the activities conducted in the state.

It was informed that in the year 2021-22, 46 Scout-guides and 3 rowers were selected for the President’s Award. Director General of Education Banshidhar Tiwari, State Chief Commissioner Seema Jaunsari, Raghunath Lal Arya, State Commissioner of Guide Vandana Garbyal etc were present at this meeting.
