Nokia to launch new smart TVs in India today


Nokia will launch as many as six new smart TVs in India today, reports XDA Developers. Just like other Nokia TVs, new models will be available on Flipkart. Already, the e-commerce company has set up a dedicated page on its website. The TVs are also likely to be part of the upcoming Big Billion Days sale.

The new range of Nokia smart TVs will feature 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch UHD models, 43-inch full HD model, and 32-inch HD model. The premium TVs will offer HDR 10 along with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, according to the report. The TVs will feature a ‘MaxBrite Display’ with Pronto Focal AI engine and micro-dimming. The UHD TVs will also have a contrast ratio of 5000:1 contrast ratio.

The 43-inch UHD model will offer maximum brightness of 350 nits. The 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch models will offer 380 nits, 420 nits, and 450 nits’ brightness, respectively. These premium smart TVs will also come with Onkyo soundbar that will house 30W speakers and 18W tweeters.

We had first reported that a new range of Nokia-branded smart TVs featuring 32-inch HD ready and 43-inch full HD models were coming to India. As expected, the new TVs will run on Android TV operating system and support for Google Assistant. The HD and FHD models are likely to come with affordable price tags.

So far, Nokia smart TVs have been available in the premium segment. The most recent model comes with a 43-inch UHD 4K LED panel. The Android TV-powered TV comes with Dolby Vision support, 300 nits brightness, 60Hz refresh rate and 178-degree viewing angle. It also has HDR support.

It runs on A53 quad-core processor paired with Mali 450 GPU. It also packs 2.25GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include 2.4GHz Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 5.0, 3 HDMI ports, and 2 USB ports. Other features are JBL audio along with Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround sound.
