Oscars are organised by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) and every year, people look up to their favourite celeb to make a grand entry on the red carpet.

This year, due to the global pandemic, things are a little different, but it has not dulled the spark of anyone. The ceremony is taking place from two locations in Los Angeles: Union Station and Dolby Theatre. For the uninitiated, Dolby Theatre has been a venue for Oscars since 2001.

Despite the outbreak of the global pandemic, the academy decided to not hold the awards virtually. The awards have been delayed by two months and the academy also extended the eligibility window to accommodate films released in 2020 through to February 2021. Like 2020, this year as well, the awards will be without a host.

Several blockbusters films, actors and actresses have been nominated for the awards and the winners are being announced. The ceremony started at 5:30 am (IST) and fans can either watch it live on the academy’s YouTube channel or can track their social media handles for the winners.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the winners’ list.
