In the midst of corona infection, the risk of dengue is also increasing in the capital. So far this year, 153 cases of dengue have been reported, out of which 10 new cases have come in the last one week.

Officials of the Public Health Department of MCD say that dengue cases have been registered in the national capital since the beginning of this year.

Most of the dengue cases are usually reported between July and November, while 23 cases of dengue were reported in January this year itself.

According to official data, Delhi reported 4,431 dengue cases in 2016, 4,726 in 2017, 2,798 in 2018, 2,036 in 2019 and 1,072 in 2020. The city witnessed a massive dengue outbreak in 2015 and over 10,600 new cases were reported in October alone.
