Google has long been rumoured to be working on new Pixel phones. So far, we have come across several leaks that have left little to the imagination. Now, an official Google Store listing has given what can be the first official look at the upcoming Pixel 4a.
The listing, now taken down, reveals the front and rear of the Pixel 4a. The render shows the phone has a dedicated fingerprint sensor on the back. The rear panel, which appears to have matte-like finish, also houses the camera panel. The small square-like camera module has one sensor and one LED flash. As far as the front goes, you will notice a punch-hole camera on the top left corner.
The design is in stark contrast with the last year’s Pixel 3a. The Pixel 4a looks to be trendier with a design that is on par with modern phones. The Pixel 3a had a dated design with thicker bezel on the top and bottom, reminiscent to the phones in 2017 and 2018.
According to reports, Pixel 4a will also improve in the specifications department. It is rumoured to come with a 3,080mAh battery with 6GB of RAM. The internal storage will be at 128GB. The smartphone is said to come with an 18W fast charging support. Since it’s an ‘affordable’ phone from Google, it will use Qualcomm’s mid-tier Snapdragon 730 processor.
Apart from Pixel 4a, Google is also working on a Pixel 5. Both the phones are expected to launch in the next couple of months.
