90s kids, well early PlayStation players in particular, are in for a treat as Crash Bandicoot for mobile has been announced. Candy Crush developer King is bringing Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! to Android and iOS.

The game hasn’t launched yet but interested users can pre-register for it. There’s also an exclusive Blue Hyena skin up for grabs for those who pre-register for the game. The mobile version of Crash Bandicoot appears to be an endless run type of game similar to Subway Surfer and Temple Run.

King explains the game’s story on the website – “Dr. Neo Cortex has dispatched iconic villains across the multiverse to take control of all dimensions. With the help of his sister Coco, Crash must bash Cortex’s minions back to their own dimensions!”

The journey includes places like Turtle Woods, Lost City and Temple Ruins. Players will also encounter classic enemies and bosses like Scorporilla and Nitrus Brio. The three actions in this game include running, jumping and spinning. Crash’s sister Coco is also part of the game, and there will be ingredients that can be collected during the runs.

Crash Bandicoot launched way back in 1996 as a PlayStation exclusive. The game features Crash Bandicoot, an experiment by Doctor Neo Cortex whom he tries to defeat. The mobile version’s gameplay is slightly different but the original theme is still there.

The launch date for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! Hasn’t been revealed yet. Pre-registrations can be done from the game’s website where users have to provide their email address for updates.
